The study session focuses on Derek Molloy's books on Raspberry Pi and Beaglebone. The Raspberry Pi book was published in 2016 and based on RPi 3, the Beaglebone book was published in 2015 and updated in 2019 to include PocketBeagle. As we begin Part II, Interfacing, controlling, and Communicating, we'll add AVR (ATMega328, ATTiny) and RPi Pico along with some KiCAD for simple PCB boards (via OSH Park) to the mix.
Pace will slow as we explorer and debug using simple tools such as oscilloscope(Tek TDS220) and logic analyzer(Saleae).
I will setup the electronic workbench and buy the necessary sensors and ICs (if available) to follow the examples in the books.
Tentative schedule is,
Part II - Interfacing, controlling, and Communicating
7/15 - Chapter 6, Interfacing to the RPi/BBB Input/Outputs
