Event Details
For about five years, we (your organizers, Joan Horvath and Rich Cameron), have been working on a way to teach calculus with hands-on projects. The elegance and practicality of calculus can get lost in the details and algebra, and we wanted to use 3D printing (and other activities) to create intuition.
Now our Make:Calculus book from our friends at Make is almost here (available for preorder at the link). We will demonstrate some of the models and talk about the lessons learned creating these as well as the models for our previous book, Make:Geometry.
We hope that this book will be a game changer for people who learn best by interacting with physical objects. Come celebrate this milestone with us and hear what we've been up to behind the scenes all this time!
This will be an online event. As always, register for the event to get the Zoom link, which we send out a few hours ahead of time. Hope to see you soon.
